The play-by-play
From invitation to the next game.
The rules have detail. The player experience has a simple rhythm: join, contribute to the pool, receive an assignment, and follow the game.

Invite
A Commissioner invites you to a private pool. Your invitation is specific to you and that pool.

Join
Register through the invitation, verify your email, and complete the pool’s participation requirements. Joining during an active game means waiting for the next new game.

Submit
Introduce an eligible celebrity to the shared pool for Commissioner approval. You are adding to the pool—not choosing your own assignment.

Assignment
At game start, normally noon on the first day of a month in the pool’s timezone, eligible Players each receive one celebrity. Assignments are random, except for confirmed keepers.

Follow the game
Track your assignment, the game timeline, and the pool’s progress. If nobody has a qualifying death before a monthly boundary, the same game and surviving assignments continue.

Verified result
A report alone does not decide the game. Commissioners verify evidence and chronology, review competing reports when needed, and finalize one winner.

Dead Period and next game
After a winner is declared, the pool enters the Dead Period—the time between games when the winner replacement and keeper decisions are completed. It ends when the next game actually starts.
