Private groups
Every pool is invitation-only and administered by its own Commissioners.
A quick introduction
A private game of chance, patience, and unusually specific celebrity knowledge—organized with clear rules and considerably fewer spreadsheet tabs.
A group creates a shared list of eligible celebrities. When a game begins, each participating Player receives one celebrity. The first qualifying death among those active assignments determines the winner.
The subject may be mortality, but the game is really about long odds, shared tradition, and the suspense of a season that refuses to follow a schedule.
Between games
After a winner is declared, the pool enters the Dead Period—the time between games when keeper and winner-replacement decisions are completed. It ends when the next game actually starts.
Where DödPool fits
Every pool is invitation-only and administered by its own Commissioners.
Players introduce eligible celebrities into the group inventory. That submission is not a personal pick.
At a new game’s start, eligible Players receive system-generated assignments, with confirmed keepers honored first.
Commissioners review death evidence and chronology before a result becomes final.
Join private pools, meet eligibility requirements, submit celebrities, receive assignments, and follow the game.
Invite members and administer eligibility, celebrity approvals, payments, games, and verified results for their pool.
Keeps the rules, records, and game activity together. It does not collect pool money.
